Company History

Ms. Bartolomei studied Art and Design in Italy before returning to the University of Maryland to complete her degree in Interior Design. She has continued her studies in Fine Art, Architecture and Antiques in England, France, Italy and at George Washington University.

For 10 years, she worked with large architectural firms, concentrating on commercial interiors, including restaurants, hotels, banks, retail stores, law offices, condominiums and health care facilities. As director of Interior Design at Mariani & Assoc. Architects, Lisa led the team designing the interiors for the Leavey Center at Georgetown University which encompassed 5 restaurants, a 150 room hotel, book store, travel agency, ballrooms and offices.

In 1986, she opened Bartolomei & Co Interior Design, specializing in full service Interior Design focused on boutique commercial projects and high end residential. As the in house interior designer for Kress Cox architects until 1996, Lisa worked on several condominium projects, the renovation of the Avalon Theater, law offices and the international headquarters for W. B. Doner Advertising, one of the largest agencies in the world.

Her most recent projects include extensive renovations and Interior Design for 4 condominiums at the Georgetown Ritz Carlton as well as a total house renovation in McLean, transforming a Georgian brick home into a stucco Italianate country estate and the total renovation of a home in Palm Desert, California.

Buying trips to London, Paris, NY, Atlanta, New Orleans and California have provided her clients with unique furnishings and artwork.

Ms. Bartolomei has completed projects in Amman, Jordon, Palm Beach, Florida, Bermuda, Greenwich, Conn., New York City, The Hamptons, San Francisco, Cape May, NJ, Palm Desert, CA as well as numerous projects in the Washington, DC area.
